I usually whine about how paintings don't turn out the way I plan them to, but this one...holy shit. I haven't been so unhappy with a painting in so long. I can see how the composition doesn't work, how stiff the characters are, how i messed up the perspective along the way, and how I just didn't detail the focal points like I should have...

but I've fallen away from the writing and rp world in order to get my own shit together, so painting this was difficult. It was like revisiting the past---which isn't an inherently good or bad thing, it's simply slightly discomforting when you realize how time slips out of your hands.

Anyway, this is an overdue gift for

. Thank you for the wonderful story you created with me. It's not a happy story, and not an entirely sad one. Nothing really gets solved. It's so often that loneliness brings two people into a relationship, even if things aren't as they should be.

Otherwise I've been sorta busy and took on extra shifts to pay for the holiday season. but i'm through the worst of it, soo hopefully i'll be able to make some more updates in the next week.
